Maxima

Well, Sherlock Blips Holmes did a trick that you all will remember when you think of us standing in the driveway, shivering, Mona barking, and the keys to the house are on the table INSIDE the house.

First of all I decide I will ALWAYS take a key with me next time  

Blips tries an extra battery from his camera accessories.  No that does not work either.  Now, I am thinking, that something went wrong….like the door would not stay shut(kept opening itself) so it was unplugged or something like that.  Blips keeps walking around the house trying to get in.  I expect to hear breaking glass soon. About 15 minutes pass.  I am just standing in a corner dreaming…..wouldn’t it be nice if a neighbor came out with a cup of coffee and said, welcome home?????  Nice dream.  Dreaming about our 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix…sure would be nice to wait in the car, or go get the extra keys.

No, he returns and takes the original battery out of the palm of his hand.  He has been warming it up.  He tells me that if a battery is low, and it gets cold  (yah, it was 23 F the last two nights) then the power is reduced.  So, he was warming it up.  It has one shot after it is warmed up.  He puts it back in and…….walla…..the door pops up.  woooo hoooo  we are in.  I felt like I had been on a Mission Impossible assignment. We had to outwit the enemy.

I bet you never thought of that!  So, now if you ever need a battery for a one shot thing…..just warm it up.

And Mona was so glad to see us.  She had been sleeping in our computer chairs while we were gone. Here she is cleaning up Blips.  I guess he smelled like California.  And Summer had made us homemade chicken soup.  Ohhhhhhhh that was so good after restaurant meals for two weeks.  And back to Senseo.  Bye bye Starbucks until next vacation.
