Thanksgiving is Family

Filed under: Blog — maxima @ 11:43 am

DSC01327.JPGBlips posted the pictures of the food that we use to celebrate being together.  So, I will show a few pictures of the family.  It is tradition to gather around a full table, celebrate and give thanks. DSC01324.JPG We missed Little Brother and his family very much.   LB has been through some health struggles and we were looking forward to seeing him again. But he came down with the flu, so his family stayed home to be with him and take care of him.DSC01328.JPG  This year Big Brother said a prayer and gave thanks for all we have and asked a blessing for all those who could not be present.  This included the good health and prosperity of family across the ocean and all those we love.  Here are a few more pictures of family. Big brother with grandson Elijah and granddaughter Jessica.  Molly with blonde hair DSC01329.JPGexplaining a game to Summer and Jessica. Molly just starting to organize the salad table.DSC01322.JPG  This is a book mom wanted to read.  It was the last one on the shelf. It explains all the secrets that she may have missed in her 50 years of watching “As The World Turns” on TV.DSC01331.JPG I brought it along to surprise her.

I wished we could have been there all to celebrate thanksgivingday (and no not just because of that food)!

@MATTS: Yes, he takes great pictures of the food….I just wish you could smell everything also! You walk in the house and your mouth starts watering and your brain says…hurry up, hurry up, I’m hungry!!!
@Krista: Ohhhhh, we would have so many laughs as we sat and watched Eli, Nancy and Jonna play together. You know how they just look at each other for awhile….like, hey! that is somebody MY size! And we enjoy each others company all afternoon with nothing to do but relax and be grateful that we are together. I would like that too :)

The photos are really great. Good to see your brother. I’m sorry that your other brother couldn’t be with you. Viewed Blip’s photos, too. You look good at that table with all the family. This year, we could be really thankful for the really mild weather, too.

Oh I can’t say any more than there is said here. I love the pictures! And would have loved to be there to spent that time with you! And see our children play, not bothered about the language because the children would understand eachouther anyway.
I don’t know how you call it bet if dads reads it he knows, it felt like ‘homesick’, gave me the feeling I had when we were with you at christmas sitting at that same table! :-)
