It’s Over

Filed under: Blog — maxima @ 9:00 am

Friday on the way to work, I spotted 099 just two blocks before the parking lot. wooo hooo. It was our payday and of course, Irish and Blips and I celebrate at Caribou. We were laughing so much, then, all of a sudden I shouted, ” look at that…LOOK at that”!!! Blips looks up at the sky (for some kind of bird or plane, I think). Irish looks left, right, left, right. I point at the SUV that just pulled up in front of us…still shouting, “Look at THAT”! Blips and Irish try to figure out who was in the SUV, thinking it was some kind of movie star the way I was so excited. I believe I was actually hopping in my seat, shouting and pointing. I finally had to tell them that 100 had just pulled in….woooo hoooooo, moaahhahahahahaha, yippie skippie. We had an official ceremony with the owners of the SUV. The lady declined to be on camera. It is finally over for me. Good luck to the rest of you. Now all I have to do is keep my eyes off those plates so I don’t spot 101.

Leg Dance

Filed under: Blog — maxima @ 9:10 pm

This is Irish doing a leg dance in Caribou. In a weak moment, she gave me permission to put it on my blog. hehehehehe  Try to remember that we only drank coffee!!!  Maybe I should tell you that we had been having a conversation about the leg room under our desks.  I have so much room that I need to put my feet on a little stool or my legs dangle.  Irish said she dreams about enough room to let her legs dangle.  She has such long legs that they barely fit.  Then Irish suddenly gets up and says…..get a load of these high stepping legs.  Blips is so sneaky with his camera.  I love it……it really captures the spirit of our payday celebration at Caribou.

Here I am with Irish on the curb next to Caribou.  We just got paid and are comparing our checks.  It has been two years since we got paid a full check together.  Tomorrow is our last day of overtime.  woooo hoooo!  That’s how the ‘over 50′ crowd celebrates a paycheck.

The face of war

Iraq.jpgThis was on the front page of the StarTribune today.

This little 8 year old boy is receiving the flag from his daddy’s coffin.  Marine Staff Sargent Marcus Golczynski, age 30, a marine reservist for 12 years was serving his second tour of duty.  His job is done, may he rest in peace.  His sons job is only beginning.
