The face of war

Iraq.jpgThis was on the front page of the StarTribune today.

This little 8 year old boy is receiving the flag from his daddy’s coffin.  Marine Staff Sargent Marcus Golczynski, age 30, a marine reservist for 12 years was serving his second tour of duty.  His job is done, may he rest in peace.  His sons job is only beginning.

I hope everyone who sees his picture says a prayer for him and everyone in his family. Actually, include all of the military families. It sure makes you grateful for all you have.

That breaks my heart to see the face of that boy. And indeed mamixa, that makes me realise how blessed we are with loving family around us!

That is so sad, but I will post it on my bulletin board to remind me every day why I can work, have a family, and enjoy my freedoms.
    Thank you Marines!
